Volunteers needed!

Could you help share our story?
The SWI Heritage Project is now in full swing and key SWI documents, photographs and crafted items are being stored in special conditions at The Ballast Trust, Johnstone. It’s there that our Project Archivist, Rachael Muir, has been organising artefacts and she is now offering volunteering opportunities to SWI members, so you can help with this exciting project

WHAT’S INVOLVED?
Members will assist with cataloguing Central Council minutes which tell the fascinating story of the SWI throughout the decades until 2018 when the Board of Trustees was formed. They hold vital information on the role women played in helping the country get back on its feet after the First World War, the challenges they faced during the Second World War, and the way women adapted to more peaceful modern times. Truly fascinating!
