Introducing SWIFTS
What are SWIFTS? They’re exciting new skills development programmes for all women to learn crafts in a series of structured courses which take you from absolute beginner to advanced – and even to coveted SWI judge level.
Currently in development, there will be two strands – SWI Foundation in Textile Skills, and SWI Foundation in Food Technology Skills.
Pilot schemes are taking place around the country, and the plan is to launch the first course shortly. You can choose from courses in Knitting, Crochet, Embroidery, Baking, Preserves, Floral Art, with more added in the future.

SWIFTS Pathway
SWIFTS will take you from absolute beginner to advanced and you could end up being a qualified tutor or judge too. At each level you’ll be guided by expert tutors with friendly in-person workshops and online follow-up sessions to support your learning.
The SWIFTS pathway offers opportunities for everyone – whether you’re a hobbyist, an aspiring professional, or potential judge. You’ll build and demonstrate expertise in techniques taught to SWI’s high standards and gain credits along the way.
