Hello, ACWW European area members

Autumn seems to be on its way following a Summer of extreme weather throughout our European Area. I hope that you are all well and managing to cope with the weather-related challenges.

It seems no time since our Triennial World Conference in Ottawa when I was honoured to be appointed as your new Area President following Afrodita’s retiral from this post.

My name is Anne Kerr. My elder son and I are partners in our family dairy farm in Ayrshire in the west of Scotland, a beautiful area. Poet Robert Burns was born and farmed in this area. Robert the Bruce and William Wallace have Ayrshire connections, Sir Alexander Fleming who discovered penicillin was born in Ayrshire as well as many other inspiring people in science, the arts and politics not to forget Johnnie Walker, founder of a world-famous Scotch Whisky Blend!

I am looking forward to meeting many members and hope to attend society meetings either in person or on-line. Could you let me know when the next one is scheduled?

I’m also keen to learn about the initiatives you’re currently leading. Kindly share about any projects or activities you most focused on right now.
