Junior Dippers

Crafting with children

The SWI isn’t just for adults, our Junior Dippers groups are helping the next generation of creative, confident young people! These welcoming groups give children and young people the chance to explore crafts, make friends, and build skills in a fun and supportive setting.

Junior Dippers focus on hands-on learning and teamwork. Children try out traditional and modern crafts, connect with skilled SWI members, and discover new ways to be creative. Along the way, they build confidence, problem-solving abilities, and a sense of community, all in a relaxed and friendly environment.

Our members aren’t just teachers, they’re mentors and friends who guide children, celebrate their progress, and help them feel valued and empowered.

Want to start a Junior Dippers group? We’d love to help you get started and share the joy of crafting with children in your community!

There are SWI Junior Dippers groups in Aberdeenshire, Dunbartonshire, Perth & Kinross, Roxburghshire and West Lothian, all led by SWI members keen to share their skills.
