SWI would like to invite spectators to the National Spoken Word Competition (Variations on a Theme), kindly hosted by Angus Federation. The event will celebrate members’ creativity and performance skills.

The theme for this year’s competition is Nostalgia.

Bringing together 11 teams from across the country, this event celebrates creativity, confidence, and the power of the spoken word. Competitors will take to the stage to perform spoken pieces, each offering a unique perspective through storytelling, poetry, and performance.

Hosted by Angus Federation, the competition promises an engaging afternoon of thought-provoking and expressive performances in a welcoming and supportive atmosphere.

Spectators are warmly invited to attend and support the teams. Your ticket includes entry to the full competition and a printed mini programme to guide you through the performances.

Spectators will be welcomed in from 11.30am, with the competition starting at 12pm.

Afternoon refreshments will be available to purchase on the day for a small additional cost, with all proceeds going towards Angus Federation. There will also be a raffle on the day, with a range of exciting prizes to be won.

Whether you’re coming to support a team or simply enjoy an afternoon of live spoken word, we look forward to welcoming you.

Please note: Spectators will be asked for their ticket confirmation upon entry, so please ensure you book your ticket prior to attending.
