National Ruralympics Competition

SWI would like to invite entries to this year’s Ruralympics competition which will be hosted by Ross-shire & Sutherland Federation on Saturday 10th October 2026 at Dingwall Academy.

This fun and friendly competition brings Federations together to test their teamwork, skill, and sporting spirit.

Deadline for initial entries: Monday 31st of August

Deadline for expressions of interest for an additional team: Monday 7th of September

Final information & draw distributed to Federations: Monday 21st September

Please note: this competition will have a capacity of 24 teams, so we are asking that Federations initially only enter one team to allow for more Federation areas to get involved.

Additional Team Entries

All entries to SWI National Competitions must be submitted through the relevant Federation. Federations are not required to hold internal heats or qualifying competitions; however, they are responsible for determining how their representatives are selected.

Each Federation may submit one team entry by the initial closing date. Following this deadline, the Events Team will review entry numbers and venue capacity to determine whether additional teams can be accommodated.

Federations wishing to enter a second team should indicate this by emailing beth.spencer@theswi.org.uk following the submission of their initial entry and will be placed on a waiting list. If space remains available after the initial closing date, additional team places will be offered on a first come, first served basis to Federations on the waiting list.

This approach aims to maximise participation opportunities while ensuring fair and consistent access for all Federations across Scotland.
