SWI Office Bearers' Event: Growing Our Institutes Together

Dates:
6th November 2026
Time:
10:30AM - 3PM
Location:
National Christian Outreach Centre, Riggs Road, Perth, PH1 1PR
Booking Notes:
Contact your Federation Secretary to book an in-person place.

Join fellow SWI Office Bearers from across Scotland for an engaging day of discussion, collaboration, and strategic thinking.

How can we grow and strengthen our Institutes for the future?

This event provides a valuable opportunity for office bearers to share experiences, exchange ideas, and contribute to shaping the future direction of SWI. Through facilitated table discussions, feedback sessions, and open dialogue, we will examine where we are today, identify opportunities for growth, and consider practical actions that can help our Institutes thrive.

As venue capacity is limited, each Federation may nominate up to three Office Bearers (Federation and/or Institute level) to attend in person. We would therefore ask each Federation identify the most appropriate representatives from your area and ask your Federation Secretary to complete the booking process on your behalf.

To ensure as many voices as possible are heard, Institute Office Bearers and additional Federation Office Bearers are warmly invited to participate online.

Whether attending in person or virtually, your insights, experiences and ideas will help shape the future of SWI and our Institutes.

Who Should Attend?

  • Federation and/or Institute Office Bearers (up to three representatives per Federation area attending in person)
  • Additional Federation and/or Institute Office Bearers wishing to contribute can attend online
  • Any member involved in supporting the future growth, sustainability and success of SWI Institutes can attend online

What to Expect

  • Insightful opening remarks from the SWI National President Susie Finlayson
  • Interactive networking and ice-breaker activities
  • Collaborative table discussions focused on Institute retention and growth
  • Opportunities to share challenges, support, successes and innovative ideas
  • Feedback sessions where key themes and recommendations will be presented
  • Strategic discussions on the current position of SWI and future opportunities
  • Closing Q&A and agreement on next steps

In-person attendees will enjoy refreshments on arrival, a light lunch and an opportunity to participate in an informal group photo session.

We look forward to welcoming you for a productive and inspiring day as we work together to grow stronger, more vibrant SWI Institutes.
